THE CRAZIES ARE OUT EARLY

Now I don't profess to be prescient, but I think that some liberals in the blogosphere are getting a little ahead of themselves. (I can't find the links right now, but will look later.)

Already, with reports in the NYTimes that the Veep was Scooter Libby's source of the fact that Joe Wilson's wife arranged for his assignment to Niger, bloggers are tripping over themselves to speculate on who is going to be appointed Vice President to replace him. They say it's neck and neck with Condi and Rudy. I say, hold your horses.

The information also suggests that Cheney didn't know her name or that she was undercover. Well, probably because she wasn't undercover.

More on this Wednesday, when I have some more time. Can't watch the game and type at the same time. Can't wait to see the comments....

Where can I find more information? -----------------------------------------------------------------------------flonase-supplier prescription

yeah, I'm with the flonase-supplier! Where can I get more information!

no, she wasn't undercover, but that's not the point. the point is that her status was to be classified, and that such CIA names should remain that way so agents can work under the assumption that their name won't mysteriously appear in the papers when they (or their spouse) disagree politically or represent evidence that makes a comment in the State of the Union look bufoonish. It's the principle, one that Libby, Cheney, or whoever was responsible for the leak should have known then, and should be aware of now -- by being fired, preferably by Donald Trump.

With 2008 looming and with the possibility of Condi running, there's the potential criticism that she doesn't yet have enough experience. A bump into the Veep role would squash that. We liberals would have to find something else about her that we don't like. Mmm, let's say...her evilness.

I should post this comment on Scott's blog, however, I wanted to make the obvious point that Scott has finally given me your blog address. The reason I should post this on Scott's blog is that I would like to reply to your responses about the West Wing (the T.V. show). You are a smart one Jeff - just as I was reading your comment and thinking "what about Ainsley Hays?" you mention her, so I am forced to admit that yes, WW is not so bi-partisan as it could/should be. But also, I put forth of good repulican characters on the show: Congressman Skinner (a gay republican at that!) and Donna's boyfriend/ prosecuter What's His Name, I can't think of it (which might prove you're point that they are somewhat under-developed). But anyways, that's that. I could keep going, but it would only be in defense of a show I love and out of that love, not actual fact.

Holy shit I can't believe how crazy you are. Finally those evil bastards get caught for ONE of the bajillion nefarious things they've done and you think its innappropriately speculative to guess about the next veep and all? I think its innappropriate that we haven't entered public caning in the dialogue for these pieces of shit.

By the way, I sometimes use a smidgen of rhetorical excess, but that last post was not one of those times. I recommend and advocate public caning for the entire bush administration. That'll teach them a little humility for killing 100,000+ people in Iraq and Afghanistan not to mention the 1200 or so in New Orleans out of neglect. They should have their wounds healed either at a public clinic or by holistic medicine snake oil peddlers so they know what it's like to be one of the 45 million uninsured.

One scooter libby down, rove, cheney, bush, rumsfield, rice et al to go. I wish there was something lower than lowercase to more fully show my disdain and lack of respect for these heartless reptiles.

Wow, Will... wow.

Don't give yourself a hernia!

Maybe if anyone gets a sinus infection this wintry season, we can get some flonase from our resident supplier.... Thank God for that. You don't know how often I lay awake at night, unable to breathe, desperately trying to figure out how I can get my grubby little hands on some nasal spray. Yet another problem solved!
