Part of the reason I've been MIA from this site is because I've been effectively working two jobs since January. I have my full-time hellhole, then I work a few nights a week, and on most Saturdays, on a campaign for Lyons Township Republican Committeeman. Initially I was asked to be the "campaign manager" for the candidate, Michael LaPidus. That always was a big title for a small job. Since he realized he couldn't pay me what he initially thought, and that I wasn't going to quit my job to make no money at the campaign, I scaled back my involvement to just whenever time I could spare.
It's been interesting. I've done a lot of data entry, which is the meat and potatoes of this campaign. It's exhausting, having two jobs. I can't imagine how real people do it all the time.
Next Tuesday is the last day of this, the primary. Since it is a party position, the primary is the general, so Tuesday is the end. I can't wait. Seven days more. After that, I will be back here more often. I forgive you if you haven't come back in awhile, or if it takes you time to read this.
Four people told me just today to post something -- anything. Made me laugh. So here, 'tis a post.
